The World We Have - ESC Volunteering Project in Lecce

We are looking for 4 young volunteers from Romania, Greece, Estonia, Spain to become part of our project about environmental awareness in Lecce, Italy!

ACTIVITY DESCRIPTION
ESC "The World We Have” is a volunteering project based on the concept of spreading environmental consciousness and awareness in order to fight climate change. Volunteers will support VulcanicaMente in international and local activities, and create campaigns and local initiatives to raise awareness about these topics.
The main tasks of the volunteers will include: - Creating social awareness campaigns
- Language teaching with non-formal education methods
- Event management: organising and promoting EU youth opportunities
- Erasmus+ promotion
- Job-shadowing and NGO management
- Personal project
​- Blog writing

ACCOMMODATION, FOOD AND TRANSPORT ARRANGEMENTS
The volunteers will be accommodated in a house in Lecce. It is a comfortable apartment, 10 minutes walking distance from the city centre. The main bus station is next to the house. Volunteers will have their own bedroom, and share the kitchen. The apartment has 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and 5 balconies. Lecce is a compact town where everything can be reached on foot or by bike, therefore there is little need for using public transport. Transportation/from San Cesario di Lecce will be covered by the project. Rent and apartment expenses are covered by hosting NGO.

TRAINING DURING THE ACTIVITY
Two trainings will be provided during the project, both organized by the National Agency.

PARTICIPANT PROFILE
We look for motivated, bright and shiny volunteers! Therefore, volunteers should:
- Have a good motivation to learn and support VulcanicaMente activities and be interested in the project topic
- Be interested in non-formal education and willing to work in a dynamic team;
- Interested in learning more about eco-mindfulness
- Be open-minded and respectful towards other people, space and cultures
- Be creative and proactive by proposing personal projects and ideas
- Be eco-friendly and bike-friendly.
