IngLecce- speak it, play it! I nuovi appuntamenti di Febbraio

INGLECCE - “speak it, play it!” è un nuovo incontro interattivo per praticare l'inglese organizzato dall’associazione VulcanicaMente.
Dopo il grande successo dei primi 2 mesi con partecipanti provenienti da 5 diversi continenti ci stiamo ora preparando per il mese di febbraio. Vi aspetteremo giovedì 2, 9, 16 e 23 febbraio alle 19 presso Kiio Lab coworking per imparare divertendoci.

INGLECCE è un nuovo modo di praticare l'inglese attraverso metodi di educazione non formale: giochi, attività di team building e roleplay. Si tratta di un’innovazione introdotta dalle volontarie europee a Lecce in collaborazione con VulcanicaMente.
Il nostro obiettivo è quello di creare un ambiente rilassato, ma divertente per tutti coloro che vogliono praticare inglese e trascorrere una piacevole serata.
Siete tutti invitati, indipendentemente dal livello di inglese. Saremo insieme per imparare gli uni dagli altri. Non preoccupatevi se sbagliate, preparatevi a divertirvi!

INGLECCE - “speak it, play it!” is a new interactive meeting of practicing English organized by VulcanicaMente. After two successful months of INGLECCE meetings with people from 5 different continents, we are now getting ready for February and will be waiting for you on Thursdays 2, 9, 16 and 23 of February at 19.00 in KiioLab coworking to learn and have fun.

INGLECCE is a new way of practicing English through non-formal education methods: games, team-building activities and roleplay. It is an innovation of the European volunteers in Lecce in co-operation with VulcanicaMente. Our aim is to create a relaxed but fun environment for everyone who wants to practice their English and have a good time.
Everybody is invited, no matter of the level of English. We come together to learn from each other. Don’t worry about making mistakes and get ready to have fun!

3€ contribution fee, including one drink and aperitive.

Training course in Latvia: GIVE (Growth and Inspiration through Volunteering and Empowerment)

Over 20 participants and project facilitators gathered in the Latvian capital Riga from the 17th till 25th of September to participate at the project organised by NGO Inspiration by Motion. Latvia.
The project named GIVE (Growth and Inspiration through Volunteering and Empowerment) was held in local NGO centre and it focuses on volunteering from the perspective of both the NGO and the volunteers. Project aims to provide youth workers and active volunteers with the tools and skills to work with young people. Activities was oriented to review and improve the competence of participants in volunteer management. The training course included a balanced program with various activities based on non-formal education methods focused at intercultural education, thus developing a proactive approach to life and basic skills, empowering the participants of the project.
The participants came from 8 European countries – the Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Latvia and the UK - shared the differences between volunteering systems and perceptions in their countries in country presentations. The volunteer management and recruitment was also discussed and the participants created 4 virtual NGOs with own agendas in order to demonstrate in practice what they have learned. During Toastmasters presentation the argumentation and presentation skills were practised and informal learning was supported by the series of games, presentations and other activities. Intercultural education developed a proactive approach to life and provided the empowerment of basic skills in volunteering work and work with youth.
The intercultural evening let the participants to share interesting facts about their country, as well as their traditional beverages, food and dances. During the day off the participants visited western Latvia – Jurkalnes Beach, Kuldiga and Jaunmoku Castle.

Three participants from Italy Chiara, Sofia and Sofia. After arrival from Riga kindly shared their experiences skills gained in the GIVE project with local sending NGO VULCANICAMENTE, mentioning how useful it was this project for them. They met other participants from Europe and learned more about about other countries and Latvia, but in particular they gained more knowledge on the volunteers management that is very relevant for VulcanicaMente. VulcanicaMente has local and European volunteers so sharing this experience was very enriching from a professional point of view and as personal growth for the Italian team.

Dopo il grande successo dei primi due incontri ci stiamo ora preparando per il mese di gennaio. Vi aspetteremo giovedì 12, 19 e 26 gennaio alle 19 presso Kiio Lab coworking per imparare divertendoci.
